How Beautiful is The Body of Christ! (Eph. 4:11)
An adventure began several years ago when I received a phone call from Tricia Mankin asking “How could our Bible study help you?” I invited them to prison, God lit a fire in them, and they began to exercise their gifts and provide materials, and the fire grew. These Waco women have been ministering there ever since. Here is what they say!

A sweet friend invited me to join a group of women sharing Bible study, faith, and testimony at the Faith-Based Dorm with Discipleship Unlimited. Our time is spent in dynamic worship (and what a worship leader!), Bible study, small group interaction, and prayer. The Holy Spirit is present and active in the room each week. The team is strong because each one brings a God-given, unique talent and gift. We are honored to share God’s word with the women, and they in turn do richly bless us. It is God at work.

I begin serving at Mountain View because my dear friend asked me to come and see how I liked it. I was hooked, and I am humbled to have this wonderful opportunity to sing praises to our Lord and Savior with the women in the FBD. I feel the Holy Spirit moving in our presence each time we come.

God has given me a new song to sing to Him: a song of thanksgiving for the blessing of visiting and knowing women incarcerated at Mountain View Unit. Discipleship Unlimited has been God’s vehicle for uniting women in white with volunteers for the purpose of worship and praise of God and study in His word together …What Joy!!
