‘Twas just weeks before Christmas and all through the dorm,
excitement was mounting, which isn’t the norm.
Sugar cookies were placed on the tables with care,
while frostings of red, white, and green soon would be there.
With frosting in hand and ideas on their mind,
cookies transformed to just one of a kind.
Wreaths and snowmen and Santas and trees,
created by women in white, if you please.
The music was heard from one room to the other,
as sung by our favorite guitar-playing brother.
There was punch and fruit and lots of smiles,
and hands raised in praising up and down the aisles.
Our elves from UT and volunteers all aglow,
helped make this a day for all to know.
The “Reason for the Season” is more than words on a page,
it’s more than a manger scene set on a stage.
What joy it was to see our Women in White
celebrate the King born that Christmas night.
He came to us as a baby in a manger He lay,
then He died, rose again, and will return someday.
Smiling faces, even tears and hands lifted high,
with voices rejoicing, proving none can deny.
The Savior is among us even behind the wall …
Merry Christmas with love, to you, one and all.
